The overall cost of the project is estimated to crosses the figure of ten crores of Rupees. Necessary land for the construction of the Mani Mantapam has already been purchased. We are pleased to inform you that bye the Divine grace of our Maha Periyaval the foundation ceremony – ‘ Sanku Sthapanam’ took place on June 9,1997 at the site in Orirukkaai Village. With whatever resources offered so far by the devotees of our Maha Periyava,the sculpting work was commenced and a team of about a hundred well – trained sculptors and  artisans and another fifteen unskilled allied labourers under the leadership and guidance of Padma Sri S.M. Ganapathi Stapathi are practically living in Orirukkai Village transforming  the rugged be at a faster pace. The names of all those devotees who make their offerings will be carved on Stone in the Mani  Mantapam compound in a easily readable way .

 

            We feel blessed to mention that the working of the Divine Grace of our Maha Periyava is seen and felt at every stage in the progress of this Project.

 

It is the earnest and humble prayers of the members of the Trust that every person coming across this appeal, irrespective of his or her faith, shall join us in fulfilling this mission successfully and receive the blessings of the greatest Saint of our times, a Saint who practically walked the length and breadth of our Sacred Land number of times just to reach out to His devotees to alleviate their sufferings and remove their ignorance.

 

Recording your experiences

 

The trust requests devotees to put down on a paper in typing  or legible hand-writing in Tamil/Hindi/English their own experiences with the sage of Kanchi, be it small or big, as much in detail as possible and send the same to us to be transformed into sculpture or to preserve it for posterity.

 

Request for photos

 

Devotees are also requested to send us photographs of the sage of Kanchi (minimum cabinet size) original or recopied, separate or in a group that are available with them. If possible please specify the place and the date on which the photograph was taken or at least the year.

 

Continuous participation

 

Let us also make it clear that no amount is small as many a drop makes an ocean. Those who are willing to make a monthly contribution until the project is complete are welcome to make a start straight away. Bearing in mind the magnitude of this project, the unique greatness of Maha Periayava and the sanctity of the cost, please consider coming to assist us in as much in a big way as possible, please also help as and when possible for you.

 

Not apart from your monetary contribution but more than that we need the power of your sincere prayers. Whenever you go on a pilgrimage to temples, whenever you pray at home and whenever you are in the presence of holy personage, do please remember to pray for our inner strength and successful completion of this noble project.

 

We are eager to have the willing participation of as many devotees of His Holiness in this marathon project as possible and hence we also appeal to you to spread this message amongst your dear friends and close relatives.
